When I was without internet, I was taking care of a few things (like finishing up M&L3, Order of Ecclesia etc), and I ended up trying out The Genius of Sappheiros once more. I played it once, when it was first dumped on the internet, and it seemed too difficult to bother with without knowing Japanese, so I left it alone. This time I managed to make it to the end of the first full dungeon, and beat the boss there. It’s honestly great fun!

The customization for the characters is pretty indepth, with 5 seperate character specific skilltrees for every character, you can either mix and match or dump them all in a single tree (eventually you get enough points to fill in multiple trees). With 12 playable characters, you start off with Reimu, Marisa, Sanae, and Aya. There’s actually a few translated videos for the storyline here, which seems to be updating frequently. The fully translated manual, which covers a huge portion of the game’s basics, can be found here. The Touhou wikia article also covers a great deal of information, including translated skill builds and movelists for every character, general gameplay translated information, etc. Also updated frequently.

Blazblue: Continuum Shift II is what they’re calling the arcade version. Which makes it a sort of 1.75, I guess, since Continuum Shift was called Blazblue 1.5 initially. Going to be shown at Taito’s booth at the Amusement Machine Show, with Valkenhayn playable. It’s release is expected to be around winter, which would make it appropriate to include Platinum and potentially the re-balance patch. Valkenhayn will be released in September, with no specific date set, he’ll cost 560 MS Points or 800 Yen (for ps3). Seemingly the same deal as Makoto.

Intentionally blurred I suppose, but there he is. Hard to tell what’s going on here, but it seems like he has his own meter for what I expect to be his werewolf-related drive. Pretty baller! Also, it seems he will be released in September, so supposedly, Platinum would be in October.

…which looks like it could be Platinum, if only because it doesn’t look like anyone else and the name in the corner seems like it. Hakumen is pretty obvious, so it doesn’t seem too difficult to tell if it was someone else.

So people with 360′s are downloading their Makoto at this very moment, and PS3 users have to wait till the afternoon for the Playstation Store to update. Makoto comes with all 24 colors, and her Unlimited form for no extra cost. How much you wanna bet Microsoft didn’t leak it early just so they could have it sooner than Sony? Well, as long as we actually GET IT TODAY for PS3 and Sony doesn’t screw something else up, then I’m fine with this.

A kick in the balls to Wii Graces owners, but an eternal kick in the balls to the western Tales of fanbase, since there’s still no english release set. They’ve committed to new ougi’s, story, and character costumes. Potentially, like Vesperia, new characters.

Also Radiant Mythology 3 in 2011, which is kind of cool I guess. No information on the new Tales game whatsoever, so we’ll have to wait to hear more on that.
