A dude on dustloop checked the data on the BBCS disk, and it essentially confirms Valkenhayn and Platina. Sorry, everyone who wanted Jubei. On the other hand, Platina may be incredibly awesome, and I could definitely do for another awesome loli. Really hoping she’s the type of character I’d like to use, but I’m pretty sure I’ll use her regardless.
Since my blog was inactive during the DLC newstorm, I’ll cover things since then. Makoto/Nu DLC, other character silhouettes, etc. Let’s start with a lot of screenshots; after the jump.
Magificent ART done by a bro of mine, @Yuuka_Kazami on Twitter.
And by “we” I mean me. And by “me” I mean I. Feels good to be back!!
What basically went down was: I was switching servers. My old webhost was costing a bit too much, and when asking for another, a good friend of mine graciously offered to take me up on her server. So the short of it, here I am! After a few hiccups, I’m BACK IN ACTION. Thanks infinitely, Ami! Quite literally could have not done it without you.
To start out, E3 passed us by. Not gonna bother going over the huge insane fuckton of good shit that game out of Nintendo (KIRBY FUCK YEAH), so I’ll just leave it alone. With Blazblue, I’ll make a post shortly incompasing all the DLC info, along with recent news.
As far as this blog goes, I made a bandcamp for my music to replace the horribadly categorized Chiptunes page I had before. You can get to it here. I’m also looking for a new theme to use, somewhat to CELEBRATE, a nice one if possible! I mean this one is pretty nice already, but it’s also somewhat plain. Perhaps something fancier. I could use some suggestions!
Well, that’s it for now! I’ll get back into the swing of things shortly. But for now, sleep.
Apparently somewhat old news that the internet did not pick up on. Troy Baker (who plays Yuri Lowell) had confirmed the localization at a Sakura-Con 2010 Q&A panel. He actually seems pretty confused himself as to why they haven’t announced a release date yet!
I know you guys re-recorded the voices for Tales of Vesperia PS3. When are you guys going to announce the European release or do you know if it’s coming out in the US?
Somebody asked me about that, there’s actually no – we didn’t re-record everything, they literally took what we did and just dropped it in and there was a couple of levels that they added. Uhm, so the new character, uhm, what’s her name? Patty. We mentioned in the expo recently actually about the PS3 version.
So now the European release – I don’t know why they haven’t set a street date. It doesn’t make any sense to me.
I’m ready for it to come out, too, because I’ve got a PS3 and I’m like “I want to ??? games”.
Or the video itself, the question is asked at about 5:22.
I’m personally helluva psyched, even though I didn’t know if they would ever release it, I still held off on the 360 version in hopes of it. FUCK YEAH’s are in order. Hopefully we’ll get a date at E3!
- When asked about GG and BB series as similar he responded that they are both very different games in terms of gameplay.
- He says to him Blazblue is the new GuiltyGear and will be a flagship title to their name for future games to come.
- He wants to deliver things most fighting games do not, such as being unable to really hit a character just because they’re down on the ground. (Referencing SSF4?) and with this game you can.
- The main series of the game will ALWAYS be a 2D fighting game. (Possibly refering to what happened with the GG Games)
- They had enough time from the Arcade port to the console port to make a few changes to the characters.
- One of the hard things were the graphics, this is because the animation sheets take up 1.5 the amount the Guilty Gear ones took up.
- The reactions of all the characters to specific characters have expanded a lot as well, in fact even against the same characters their expressions will change! Keep notice of these!
- For him the games have to be fun and competetive, if it’s just competetive or it’s just fun it doesn’t fully make a fighting game purchasable. He also feel’s admiration of this from Capcom’s Street Fighter 4.
- He see’s Capcom as a rival that they strive to overcome, as to him Capcom is currently the King of fighting games.
- The Arcade version for him is the worst impression to give the game because they needed to compress everything for the Arcade, expect full detail in the Console version.
- The story will take 30 hours to beat, 1 1/2 -2 hours per every character.
- Story Mode will progress a bit more like GGXX’s series where the gameplay will have more of a tie-in to the story then the 1st game.
- An example is there will be some places where characters will be at full power, toakaka might fight slower from eating too much things like that.
- All characters will also be appearing as unique boss versions in different storylines.
- Out of all the Astral Finishes only 3 have retained their originals from the Arcade
- He highly recommends to see Jin’s new Astral Heat!!
- Most voice actors contributed from 500-700 lines worth of voice acting.
- Many mysteries will be solved but more will appear as well.
- Parts in the Arcade mode will be answered as well.
- Opening is done by Gonzo yet again.
Lots of interesting information, especially the bit about new astral finishes. I liked Jin’s astral the most already, hopefully it’ll be even better. The new story length actually scares me, since the first was pretty long already, but I’m looking forward to seeing how different it is.
